Welcome to the South Essex Astronomy Group’s Offical WebSite.  Here you will be able to find details about upcoming meetings and events that we have organised.

We are a friendly bunch of Astronomers based in the South East of Essex: Hawkwell.  We hold regular meetings at the Hawkwell Village Hall and we welcome everyone.  Our ultimate goal is to help new Astronomers with their hobby and help them to find their way around the night sky.  Also, if you have any queries about the equipment that you may have but are not too sure how to use - we are more than happy to give you the help that you need to get going.

The group was formed in 2016 as a part of tying to show people what Astronomy is about and how they can get started learning more about space and science.  Since then, we have held many meetings and been to many events and given many talks, across the UK.

All of our meetings are held at the Hawkwell Village Hall, Main Road, Hawkwell, Essex SS5 4EH — from 7p.m until 9p.m, on a monthly basis.  Please see the Meetings page of this site for more detailed information.
